Integrated EHR is the vision of MGL HIS. Electronic Health Record ("EHR") creation happens with the registration and is maintained within the system as various data are captured and activities are performed on the patient. This information is available to the physicians, nurses, radiologists and all clinicians at a click of a button in an organized fashion (E.g. current and past allergies, lab results, x-rays and radiology results, clinical reminders, drugs administered to the patient etc.) The patient might have visited many specialists in multiple hospitals within a hospital network, but all the information is still maintained and tracked in a seamless and coherent fashion. EHR is the heart of the system enabling an error free evidence-based healthcare delivery and helping in clinical queries, health profiling and management.
